Montebello Volunteer and Youth Employment Programs

MVP LogoThe City of Montebello Volunteer Program (MVP) works to create opportunities for community involvement and create a sense of City pride through meaningful volunteer work.

What kind of work can volunteer for?
The City of Montebello Volunteer Program offers many different ways to engage. Duties for volunteers rage from landscaping, painting, trash picking, working city events, breaking down and building set ups, coaching youth sports, and many more!

What are the requirements to participate in the MVP?
MVPs far and wide are welcome to participate in all community events. MVPs do not need to be City of Montebello residents. MVPs must be over the age of 8 years; those between 8 to 14 years old MUST be accompanied by a parent of guardian throughout the duration of the event. MVP's 14 to 17 years old must have a parent or guardian signature on their volunteer application.

Are MVP opportunities for individuals or groups?
The City of Montebello allows for groups of any size to participate in larger-scaled events such as City special events or services. For smaller scale opportunities like the youth sports program or the summer food service program, individual volunteers are accepted depending on the availability of positions.

Are MVP opportunities available year-round?
MVPs are encouraged to volunteer to their heart’s content. The City of Montebello offers many different and frequent volunteer opportunities. One-time volunteer participation is an option, but if you would like to be a year-round MVP or a volunteer coach, a live scan is required.
