James Enriquez
Director of Public Works

Director Enriquez brings nearly three decades of civil engineering and public works experience to the City of Montebello having previously served with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, the global engineering/infrastructure firm AECOM, and the cities of El Monte and Pico Rivera as their Director of Public Works.

He graduated from the University of Southern California with bachelor of science in Civil Engineering. Director Enriquez currently supervises a field staff responsible for the maintenance and operations of Montebello's infrastructure including sewers, streets, sidewalks, alleys, parking lots, traffic controls and other vital operations.

Public Works Department

The Public Works Department's mission is to provide the highest quality public works services to our residential and business communities, as well as, other City departments, while overseeing the City's infrastructure. This mission is accomplished through a balanced and prudent use of resources, technology, innovations, and partnerships with local service providers in the City. The Department is responsible for the engineering, permitting, maintenance and operation of the City's infrastructure, including: streets, sidewalks, alleys, public parking lots, traffic signals, etc.
