Councilmember Romero has lived in Montebello for 16 years with her husband and three sons. She has been an active public servant, volunteering as an assistant coach for the youth soccer program and as a youth group ministry leader. Before joining the City Council, she served on Montebello’s Traffic and Safety Commission, representing District 4.

At 17, Danielle enlisted in the Army as a unit supply specialist and trained as a combat lifesaver. Her veteran’s banner is proudly displayed along Whittier Boulevard. She now works as a Veteran Service Officer for the American Legion Los Angeles County Council, assisting veterans and their families with benefit claims, housing, and job placement. Danielle also serves as the first female captain of the Honor Guard for the Montebello American Legion, where she is the 3rd Vice and sits on the board of directors. She is a member of the Honor Society of Women Legionnaires, Assistant Vice Adjutant for American Legion District 19, and the Community Service Chairman for the Auxiliary.

Councilmember Romero is committed to supporting economic development, investing in Montebello’s open spaces, enhancing public safety, and improving city infrastructure. As a former Girl Scout and proud veteran, she is passionate about helping young women and veterans in our community. In her free time, she enjoys cruising Whittier Boulevard with her family and volunteering to feed hungry students at ELAC.
