Public Records Requests

The City of Montebello understands and supports the public's right to access public records created and maintained by the City. A request is considered to be received during regular business hours (between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM) on a regular business day (Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays).

Upon receipt of a request for City records, the City shall determine within ten (10) days if the records are public and available within the City's records system and notify the requestor of such determination. An extension to search for, collect, and examine the records requested may be required (Government Code Section 6250-6270).
