City Clerk Jimenez

Christopher Jimenez
City Clerk
Christopher Jimenez grew up in the heart of Boyle Heights before he and his family decided to move to Montebello in 2001 and set roots down. Christopher was educated through the Montebello Unified School District attending La Merced Elementary School, La Merced Intermediate, and Montebello High School where he served as Student Body President.

Christopher was elected to office in 2020 with the vision of bringing transparency and involvement to government. Christopher is the youngest elected city clerk in the city’s history. A strong believer that its time we empower a new generation of leadership to be involved in the community, Christopher hopes his story will help inspire young people to give back to the community and run for public office.

Prior to embarking in the public service journey, Christopher along with his brother formed a community organization in 2013 called Montebello Youth Leadership Club, with the goal to get the youth civically engaged and give back to their community. Youth learn new leadership skills, work on community projects, and work along elected officials to voice their concerns. He currently serves as the Vice President of M.Y.L.C. Christopher’s passion, dedication, and service for our community can be seen in all the work he has been doing for the last 10 years, from volunteering to now serving as an elected official.

Christopher worked as a Recreation Leader for the City of Montebello where he assisted in planning community events and coached youth sports. He currently serves as a Parks and Recreation Coordinator for the City of Temple City.
